Up Close | Exposed Cosmetics Professional Make Up Tools

Hi all,

So this year has been RIDICULOUSLY busy so far! We haven’t even had time to give you guys updates (forgive us!)

Today we’re going to focus on one of our best selling ranges, our ‘Exposed Cosmetics Professional Make Up Tools Range’ aka the best budget make up brushes we’ve ever used!

This brush range starts at about £2 (yeah, we know!) and the priciest one is around £7.

Just look how beeeeaaaauuutiful they are:

They currently have a range of 13 brushes and yes, we are going to show you them all because they’re all fabulous.

(Please note: Prices are from the Exposed Cosmetics Website and may vary slightly in Just Essentials stores)
Flat Top Kabuki Brush – £5.95img_7025
This brush is dual fibre and super soft. Used as a stippling/finishing brush to distribute the right amount of product. Best used for Foundation.

Angled Kabuki Brush – £5.95
Firmer than the flat top, still the same ultra soft mixed fibre bristles. Best used for Cream/Compact Foundations.

Natural Powder Brush – £4.95
A nice dense natural bristled powder brush. The fibres don’t fall out and it distributes powder flawlessly. Best used for powder products, obviously.

Contour Brush – £5.95
The Contour brush has a gentle angle to it, more of those ultra soft mixed fibre bristles. Perfectly designed to accentuate the contours of the face. Distributes just the right amount of product and has this magical way of blending layers of product together without caking, making your products so much more buildable. For use with liquid, cream and powder products.

Oval Face Brush – £6.95
This is the show stopping Oval Face Brush, you will have seen these made by a company known as ‘Artis’ for crazy money, this baby does the same job for a fraction of the price. This brush boasts a mad level of density, like it’s gorgeously soft but solid as a rock. The thousands of soft fibres allow for product distribution like you’ve never experienced. Use it for liquid and cream face products mainly, but can be used for powder application too.

The 3D Foundation applicator – £3.95
This 3D foundation applicator works like a beauty blending sponge, but with a convenient handle set up. Consisting of a pointed tip, rounded side and flat side, this sponge is perfect for getting into hard to reach areas of the face. Use it (damp or dry) for Foundation and concealer.

The Concealer Brush – £2.95
Firm and soft, this little brush will help you apply the perfect amount of concealer. Apply to undereyes, around the nose and anywhere you have redness or blemishes. Use it for liquid or cream concealer.

The Angled Brow Definer – £1.99
Everyone needs a sharp angled brush and this baby is IT.
We’ve had so many people tell us this brush is the best brow brush they’ve used, and we can see why. It’s firm and sharp and creates the most beautiful brows. Trust us. Best used for carving out your brows with powder or liner based products.

The Lash & Brow Groomer – £1.99
Staying on the subject of amazing brows, the difference between brows and INCREDIBLE brows isn’t just filling them in, it’s grooming them. Make the most out of your natural brows by keeping them neat and filled – you’ll be amazing at the difference. Doubles up as a lash comb.

Perfect Finish Liquid Foundation Brush – £6.95
This synthetic brush has a little secret… a liquid reservoir in the centre of the brush where you drop in your foundation, you then buff in circular motions to create a gorgeous, even dewy look. Use with liquid foundations.

The Foundation Brush – £3.95
It’s a classic, a firm synthetic foundation brush is a make up brush staple. The Exposed foundation brush is our favourite though, because of the super fine tips on the bristles which help to eliminate the nasty streaks you sometimes get with cheap foundation brushes. Use with liquid, cream or cake products.

Large Eyeshadow Shading Brush – £2.95
img_7023Soft, dense and perfect for blending larger areas. This synthetic brush blends product amazingly, while keeping colours in nice and tight. Best used for blending out paler eyeshadows or adding glitter to lids.

The Eyeshadow Brush – £2.95
Lastly, the Eyeshadow brush. Better know to make up artists and the ultimate crease brush – blend your dark shadows out while keeping the shadow low and minimising fallout with this medium-dense natural bristle brush.

The brushes really are fantastic quality for the price point. We love the classy red and black look to them, they’re relatively weighty and feel luxurious to use.

What do you think? Do you like the look of them? If you’ve tried any, feel free to let us know! Check out Charley Boom Parker’s review on YouTube:
